Part-Qualified Accountant (12month fixed term contract)

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Part-Qualified Accountant to join our busy Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in both Management and Financial Accounting, with an ability to manage a variety of ad hoc projects as required. You will provide integral support to the business by delivering accurate and timely financial information to support effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

·        Preparation of VAT Returns

·        Support in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports

·        Participate in ad hoc financial projects, including but not limited to, process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and the implementation of new financial systems or procedures.

·        Assist with financial analysis to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities that could impact the business.

·        Ensure timely and accurate account reconciliation, resolve any discrepancies, and maintain updated records of company transactions.

·        Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

·        Part-qualified status towards an accredited accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).

·        Proven experience in a similar role, with a sound understanding of both management and financial accounting principles.

·        Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.

·        Strong analytical skills, with an ability to deliver insightful financial analysis.

·        Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels within the organization.

·        Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently, and meet strict deadlines.

·        Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
